What Confsas3D is
Confsas3D is a web platform that turns a 3D model into an interactive, publishable product configurator, without writing code. It is built for manufacturers and brands of configurable physical products — automotive, marine, interiors, furniture, machinery — who want their customer to combine finishes on the real product before asking for a quote.
Why it exists
A 3D configurator is a proven sales tool, and yet almost no mid-sized manufacturer has one. The established platforms in the sector solve the problem with heavy integration and assisted onboarding, which puts them out of reach of anyone without a technical team and a project budget. And underneath that sits a barrier none of them removes: you have to already own a 3D model of the product, and commissioning one costs between €150 and €800 per item.
Confsas3D attacks both barriers at once. Having no 3D asset to start from is solved by generating a draft model with AI from a single photo of the product. The technical barrier is solved by pointing: you click a part of the model and that part becomes a configurable option — without knowing the material name inside the file, without touching the scene graph, and without opening a 3D application.
What it does
The whole path is three steps: get the model (upload a GLB, OBJ or FBX, or generate one with AI from a photo), mark the parts and give them finishes and prices, and publish the result as your own link or as embed code for the manufacturer’s site, carrying their brand colours and theme. Limits, said out loud
- Models generated with AI from a photo are editable drafts with textures. They are not finished production models, and they are not fit for manufacturing or for taking measurements.
- The free plan lets you build and preview a configurator, but not publish it: the permanent link, the embed code and lead capture are paid features.
- There are no public customers, testimonials or ratings. Any adoption figure attributed to Confsas3D today would be invented.
- The service is still served from a development subdomain while the move to its own domain is completed.
What it is built on

- Google Firebase / Google Cloud: hosting, authentication, database, storage and 3D model processing.

- Google Gemini, used only to propose which parts of the model could become configurable options.
- 3D generation from an image
- An external provider that generates models from a single photograph.
- Payments
- Stripe. No full card number is ever stored.
- Viewer
- WebGL in the buyer’s own browser, with no plugin and no installation, on mobile too.

State of the project
Confsas3D is under active development. Everything described on the home page is in production and working — it is not a roadmap — but the service is still served from a development subdomain, and the founder plan is open precisely because it is looking for its first twenty real customers in exchange for their feedback.
